Win tickets to the Gold Coast Film Festival

Thanks to our friends at the Gold Coast Film Festival, we have a double pass to give away to any of their myriad of screenings!

Since 2002, the Gold Coast Film Festival has been celebrating and promoting all aspects of film and filmmaking – not least of which is the Gold Coast itself, one of the biggest drawcards for major film productions in Australia.

The festival slate covers internationally acclaimed dramas, comedies and genre films – from micro-budget to blockbusters. They also have a ton of locally made indie gems and family films. Furthermore, the GCFF angles itself towards film students and filmmakers by running a series of free seminars and workshops with the goal to “educate, inspire and embrace the Gold Coast as a filming destination”.

The Gold Coast Film Festival is shaping up to be one of the best film events of the month, predominantly because of its range. They have a couple of French films, a few that are also showing at the Young at Heart Film Festival, and a plethora of local gems. It really is shaping up to be a great example of what can be produced here in Queensland, while also providing big scale entertainment for those who desire.

Even more exciting is the opportunity to learn about every aspect of filmmaking. You can refine your audition skills with some of their classes, or jump on board a bus tour to go behind the scenes of some of the Gold Coasts most popular filming destinations. You can check out where they shot Kong: Skull Island, San Andreas or Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Our picks for the Festival? Hounds of Love and XX. Both are awesome, on-the-edge of your seat crime and horror films. With Hounds of Love featuring some great Aussie actors and XX being an all female production we're pretty pumped about them both!
